The inaugural day of the BIOTIC network (24th April) was a real success, bringing together 99 participants from around twenty different laboratories. Although most of the participants work on the Luminy campus, some of you came from La Timone, Station Marine d'Endoume, Joseph Aiguier...

The second BIOTIC Day brought together 67 participants from 15 laboratories for scientific exchanges, thematic discussions and collaborations. The programme included two scientific presentations, round tables and a social moment to close the event.

For this new BIOTIC meeting, the format is changing!
We are organizing a full day of conferences and discussions.
The program includes keynote talks by former members of the Marseille community: Céline BROCHIER-ARMANET, William RITCHIE, and Etienne DANCHIN.
But that's not all! Your work will also be featured through selected oral presentations, flash talks, and a poster session.

BIOTIC made its debut at JOBIM 2024 in Toulouse. We had the opportunity to introduce ourselves to the bioinformatics community and engage in discussions with members of SFBI, IFB, the MERIT community, and other bioinformaticians present at the conference. A poster showcasing our network and ongoing activities was displayed.

Lionel Spinelli and Claire Rioualen will present the data deposition process in the Recherche Data Gouv repository. Using this example, they will highlight the significance of metadata and standardized vocabularies in ensuring high-quality data deposition.
